Wilmer R. Gorrell, Age 83, of Dover and formerly Carrollton and Minerva, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2016 in Dover Union Hospital. He was born Dec. 12, 1932 in Weirton, WV to Wilmer and Gladys (Pugh) Gorrell Sr. He retired from Good Roads in Minerva where he had worked for 20 years and had worked for American Roads in Minerva for 23 years. He is a member of the Great Trail Church of God in Minerva.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve (Dennis) Gorrell, stepchildren, Debra (Scott) Sindeldecker of VA and Roger (Cheryl) Royer of Dennison, sister, Vera Prinkey of Carrollton, brother, Joseph (Bonnie) Gorrell of Carrollton, nephew, Lester (Velma) Wellen of Scroggsfield, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a stepson, Terry Royer and a sister, Ruth Wellen.

According to his wishes, he was cremated and a service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice.
