Wilmer L. Davis
Age 95, of Minerva, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 in the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia. He was born Oct. 20, 1918 in Salineville to Chalmers and Bertha (Grimm) Davis. He was the owner of Davis Plumbing and Heating in Carrollton. He had also worked for Rinehart Construction in Carrollton and retired from Mallernee Oldsmobile in Minerva. He is a member of the Minerva First Presbyterian Church and the Pelican Club in Carrollton.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Inez (Sutton) Davis whom he married May 24, 1940; 2 daughters, Louise (Harold) Rinninger of Carrollton and Diane Bickley of Canton, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Davis in 1996 and a brother, Chalmers Davis.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Friday at 4:30 pm in the Minerva First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ben George officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
