William A. Ziemer 92, of Minerva, decided to join his
past love ones above on Friday, May 22, 2015. He was born May 8, 1923 in
Zanesville,to Robert and Illene "Peg" (Mercer) Ziemer. He graduated from
Lash High School in Zanesville where he lettered in baseball and was an
important team member for the Zanesville Blue Devils basketball team. He is a
WWII US Army Veteran, where he played semi-pro basketball and a member of the
VFW Post #4120 in Minerva.
He worked at Mosaic Tile in Zanesville, Carlysle
Tile in Ironton, Ohio and finished his work years at Structural Stoneware in
Minerva.
He was an avid golfer for over 50 years and enjoyed it so much, but
enjoyed the company he kept more, especially at Edgewater Golf Course.

In addition to joining his parents, he can now reunite with 2 brothers, Bernard and Jerry and his son William B., but unfortunately had to leave some behind. The love of his life for 55 years, Helen Marie Ziemer, 3 sons; Robert (Roberta)Ziemer of Wintersville, Jay "Mike" (Sherri) Ziemer of Zanesville, Gary Ziemer of Minerva and stepson Mark (Cyndi) Lincicome of Blue Rock. 3 daughters; Carol Stotts of Zanesville, Kathy Ziemer of Zanesville and Pamela (Jay) Hooper of Louisville, 2 brothers, Bruce (Joan) Ziemer of Zanesville and Wayne (Sally) Ziemer, many grandchildren and great-granchildren.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held Friday at 1 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.co
