William Arden Norris

Age, 86, of Minerva, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025. He was born September 5, 1939, in Canton, Ohio to William Joseph and Mary Lois (Klotz) Norris. He retired from the Timken company where he was a carpenter for 30 years, had formerly worked for Burn's Cold Forge, Canton Drop Forge and as a dairy farmer. He is a 1957 graduate of Minerva High School and was a member of the Robertsville Grange. He was also a member of the Malvern United Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mildred "Millie" (Troyer) Norris whom he married Sept. 14, 1957; 3 daughters, Debra Slack of Minerva, Sharon (David) Garner of Malvern, Suzanne (Luke) Mathie of Canton; a son, Michal Norris, Sr. of Minerva, a sister, Marjorie (David) Polen of Minerva; and a sister-in-law Indra Norris of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Thomas Slack; a brother, Virgil "Don" Norris and 2 grandchildren, Twins, Sara and Andrew Garner.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29th in the Gotschall-Hutchison funeral home in Minerva with Pastor Allen Hill officiating.
