William R. Glavan
Age 92 of Minerva died Thursday Nov. 17, 2011 in the Alliance Community Hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1919 in Cleveland to Frank and Mary (Orazem) Glavan and had four brothers and sisters; Angie, Molly, Ed and Joey. He retired from the J.C. Baxter Company in Minerva and was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by 8 children; Don Glavan of Birmingham, Ala., Ken Glavan of Columbiana, Sandy McCracken of Wadsworth, Carol McCarty of Minerva, Dale Glavan of Canton, Jamie Glavan of Minerva, Janet (Nate) Neubauer of Louisville, Jean (Randy) Peterson of Ten Sleep, Wyo., 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva Senior Center
