Wilbur E. Hazelet

Age 83, of Minerva, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born Jan. 19, 1935 in Cherry Tree, PA to John and Bernice (Smith) Hazelet. He was a pipefitter, welder and construction worker having worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitter's Union in Steubenville and Cambridge. He is a member of Riddle Lodge #315 F&AM in East Liverpool, Salem Area Scampers, Carnation Kampers, American Legion Post #374 Aux, VFW Post #66 Aux both in East Liverpool and a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Grisez) (Plumley) Hazelet, daughter, Lori (Kenneth) Bucher of Newell, WV; 3 sons, Edward (Diana) Hazelet of East Liverpool, Richard (Margaret) Hazelet of Westerville, Robert (Mary Beth) Hazelet of East Liverpool; 2 step sons, Mark (Dawn) Plumley of Alliance, Todd Plumley of Minerva; a sister, Sandra (Albert) Coy of Minerva; 15 grandchildren, Mathew, Kylee, Erin, Chris Robert, Andrew, Michael, Brandon, Jenna, Brittany, Carly, Aaron, Kelly, Olivia, Katie; 14 great grandchildren, Kendall, Rylee, Lillie, Claire, Blake, Bailey, Skylar, Axel, Ethan, Lucas, Isabelle, Caleb, Chance, Giovanni. He is preceded in death by a 3 brothers, Robert, Donald, and John Hazelet; a stepson, Lee Plumley; a granddaughter, Kristyn.

Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Rev. Susan Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. with masonic services at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
