Wilbur L. Cogan
Age 80, of Minerva, died February 6, 2020 at Aultman Hospital. He was born Nov. 4, 1939 in Paris, OH to Ronald and Letha (Hoopes) Cogan. He Graduated from Minerva High School in 1958. He Retired from PCC Airfoils in Minerva after 42 years of service. He was a former Minerva Volunteer fireman for 20 years, a member of the Augusta Masonic Lodge F&AM #504, former president of the Columbiana County Antique Tractor Pulling Club, member of the Mile Branch Tractor Club and Carroll Country Antique Tractor Club.
He is survived by 2 sons, Mickey (Darla) Cogan of Minerva, Tim (Angel) Cogan of Minerva; a stepdaughter, Dana (David) Reynolds of Louisville; 9 sisters, Leila (Dan) Moore of Louisville, Norma (Alfred) Zwahlen of Minerva, Mary (Jerry) Garrett of Minerva, Beverly (Tom) Polen of Hanoverton, Carrolyn (Richard) Evans of East Rochester, Marilyn (Kenny) Simmons of Malvern, June (Doyle) Hawk of East Rochester, Linda (Daryl) Haynam of Newark, Betty (Don) VanFossen of Sugarcreek; 4 brothers, Dale (Eileen) Cogan of Minerva, Paul (Linda) Cogan of Carrollton, Gary (Cassie) Cogan of Carrollton, Larry (Rhonda) Cogan of Carrollton; a brother-in-law, Larry Hawk of Carrollton; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Terry Cogan and a sister, Dorothy Hawk.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, Feb. 15 th at the Minerva United Methodist Church with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.
