Wilbur "Bubba" Clapper
Age 84, of Malvern, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1934 in Paris to Carl and Vedna (Tresler) Clapper. He retired from Sugardale after 25 years and had formerly worked for Pioneer Meats. He is a member of the Robertsville Wesleyan Methodist Church. He loved to mow his lawn and spending time painting houses with his son.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Dazey) Clapper who died in 2003; son-in-law, Steve Clark; 2 sisters, Evelyn Bobo, Rose Lowry; brother, Herb Clapper; a grandson and a great grandson. He is survived by 7 children, Chris Perrine of Malvern, Cathy (Bob) Bauer of Malvern, Bruce (Kathy) Clapper of Malvern, Brian (Debbie) Clapper of Carrollton, Diana Clark of Minerva, Randy (Cheryl) Clapper of Paris, Lois (Gary) Noling of Kensington; 3 sisters, Sara (Earl) Marshall of Alliance, Norma (Dave) Decker of Malvern, Hazel (Earl) Roosa of Canton; 2 brothers, Donald (Kathryn) Clapper of East Canton, Ken (Bertha) Clapper of FL; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Tom Haight officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton. Calling hours will be Monday 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
