Obituary

Warren Lee Stryffeler passed away unexpectedly on January 18 th , 2017, at the age of 63, while surrounded by family. Warren is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Joni; his daughter Lindsay, her husband David Rivera and their two children Ruby and Rex of Los Angeles, CA; and daughter Sloan and her boyfriend Mike Kormelink of Charlotte, NC.  He is also survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.

Warren was born January 28, 1953.  He grew up in Minerva with his parents R. Robert and Gladys, and his brother, Richard.  Warren was a graduate of Minerva High School (1971) and Akron University (1975).  After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, he spent a brief but successful time with Met Life.  He continued his career at Conrail and Sperling Railway Services until he retired in 2014.

Warren was admired for his unending enthusiasm for the things he loved, his ability to bring calming strength to the most unsettling situations, the meticulous attention to detail he brought to any job, and the humble, proud demeanor he exemplified each and every day.  He was respected by many, as he respected and enjoyed so many.  He was an avid golfer who could be found on the golf course whenever the weather permitted.  He was extremely generous with his time, knowledge, and know-how and was willing to help anyone in need of his expertise.

He loved nothing more than sharing funny stories and jokes with family and friends.  Warren was a man of few words with the best one-liners.  He was quick to laugh and knew how to tell a tale that would leave his listeners in stitches. Above all, Warren was dedicated to his family. He was a trusted source of support, advice and guidance.

While he was taken too soon, his memory will live on with the many people who loved him.

According to his wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.  We ask that you remember Warren as the kind, generous and fun-loving man that he was.
