Warren J. Koontz

Age 86, of Minerva, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2021 in Aultman Hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1934 in Belington, WV to Frank and Martha (Moore) Koontz.  He retired from PCC Airfoils in Minerva where he was a machine operator for 38 years.  He is a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.  He loved woodworking and was an avid golfer.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Alexander) Koontz who died in 1992; daughter-in-law, Christine Koontz; 2 brothers, Charles and Hobert Koontz; and a granddaughter, Amanda.  He is survived by 2 daughters, Cheryl (David) Scott of Minerva, Kimberly Koontz of Boardman; 3 sons, Douglas Koontz of Minerva, Gregory Koontz of Wellsville, Steve Koontz of Wellsville; sister, Linda Williams of FL; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Oct. 24 ^th at 3:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.  Burial with full military honors will be in East Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Saturday from 4-6 pm at the funeral home.
