Wanda E. Zaugg

Wanda E. Zaugg, age 87, of East Rochester, died Mon., Jan. 2, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Minerva surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 9, 1924 in Bayard to James and Edith (Grimes) Frazier. She had worked for Transue & Williams in Alliance and the Dillon Drug Store in Minerva. She is a member of the East Rochester United Methodist Church where she was the former choir director for 10 years. She was the founder of the East Rochester Garden Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Zaugg who died in 2001; son, Brent Zaugg; son-in-law, Perry Vick and a sister, Marilyn McCallum.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Cooper of Hanoverton, Caryl (Glen) Thompson of Dickinson, TX and Barbara Vick of Minerva; 2 sisters, Donna (Robert) Davis of Alliance and Janet (James) Culp of Alliance; 4 grandchildren, Katie (Scott) Welch of Houston, TX, Amy (Ralph) Accardo of Houston, TX, Steve (Christine) Kohl of East Rochester and Erin (John) Moriner of Atlanta, GA; 4 great grandchildren, Alex Accardo, Celeste, Wyatt and Haley Kohl.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Scott Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Memorial Park in Alliance. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-7 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Rochester United Methodist Church or the Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
