Wanda E. Price
Age 100 of Minerva, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 in Minerva Eldercare. She was born Oct. 15, 1914 in Moultrie to John and Bertha (Speakman) Pieren. She loved to travel, having spent many years as a military wife, living in Germany, Japan and France. She was an excellent gardener, cook and loved caring for her many grandchildren. She has left her family with many wonderful memories. She is a member of the First Brethren Church in N. Georgetown, the Homeworth Chapter #553, Order of the Eastern Star, Columbiana County Farm Bureau and a 1932 graduated of Minerva High School.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Price who died in 1984, son, Robert Hagerman, sister, Jean Picknell, 2 brothers; John and Claire Pieren, and a granddaughter. She is survived by 3 daughters; Sandra (John) Craigo of Idaho, Elaine (Leslie) Pitts of Minerva and Sherry (Martin) Hicklin of Carrollton, daughter-in-law, Marlene (Ray) Kloos of Fairfield, 12 grandchildren,29 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, Dec. 16th in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Ron Walters officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
