Walter Glenn Smith

Age 64, of Minerva, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 in Aultman Hospital. He was born August 6, 1953 in Minerva to the late Herman and Evelyn (Ellsworth) Smith. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1971. He was a Millwright and had worked in maintenance at Transue and Williams, Union Metal and Winters Industries. He was an avid bowler and played in many local leagues.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Rebecca (Candice) Smith of Hartville, Lisa (Ryan) Eckroate of East Canton; 2 sons, Jeff (Kim) Smith of Northfield, Phil (Michelle) Smith of TN, 2 stepdaughters, Melissa Criss and Samantha Kramer; 2 brothers, Dennis Smith of Minerva, Robert (Brenda) Smith of Malvern; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 7:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Dale Smith Jr. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to the service from 5-7pm.
