Wade G Hassler

Wade, of Salem, 70 years of age died peacefully at home on May 30, 2018. Born January 14, 1948 in Salem to Charles and Betty (Waugh) Hassler. He was a self-employed architect, builder and artist. He graduated from Kent State with an Architecture degree and also earned a teaching degree from Albany NY. His main passion was for his Family and Church. He was known by everyone as a loving and gentle man who greatly adored his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara R. Carretta-Hassler of 40 years; a son, Ethan and daughter-in-law Samantha Hassler of Georgia; 2 grandchildren, Audrey and Charlotte; parents, Charles and Betty Hassler of Kensington; a sister, Linda Kreitzer of East Rochester. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Abby Hassler.

Funeral services will be Sunday, at 11:00 am at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Homeworth with Joe Unruh and Gary Miller officiating. Burial will be held at the church cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests to bring plants for a memory garden.
