1941-2016

W. Floyd Hays, Age 75, of Minerva, OH took his last breath on earth and first breath in heaven on Wednesday, June 22nd at Alliance Community Care Center. He graduated in 1959 from Salineville High School and moved to Minerva in 1964. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 42 years, Judy Hays (Laubacher).

Floyd worked at PCC Airfoils (TRW) in Minerva for 42 years and served as President of Minerva Area Federal Credit Union, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed retirement by traveling, golfing, working in his yard and spending time with family. Floyd was an active member at the Minerva First Christian Church. He volunteered many years as youth football coach and at Alliance Community Hospital. In addition to his loving wife, Floyd is survived by his five children Chip (Kathy) Syme, Rich (LaVonne) Hays, Randy (Carrie) Hays, Missy Hays, Melanie (Mark) Ieropoli, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and sister Sondra (Gary) Lindesmith.
Preceding him in death were his parents Everett and Janet Hays, his recently deceased, beloved twin "bro" Lloyd, and his young brother Larry.

Funeral services will be held at Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home on Monday at 11:00 am. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery next to his "bro". Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you consider a donation to Alliance Hospice, who lovingly cared for Floyd as he lost his battle with Alzheimer's.
