Virginia Shulenberger
Age 86 of Minerva died Sat. Aug. 27, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 19, 1924 in Paris to Wilbur and Emma (Tressler) Dourm. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1943 as the valedictorian. She was a homemaker and member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by three daughters; Cheryl (Randy) Grimes of Carrollton, Susan (Jim) Swain of Minerva and Judy Lippman of Minerva, a son, Lynn (Chrystle) Shulenberger of Minerva, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shulenberger who died in 2003, a sister, Lucille Fascenmeyer and a brother, Duane Dourm Sr.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Thomas and Rev. Dave Sperry officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 5-8 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva and one hour prior to services at the church
