Virginia R. Barnes
Age 85 of Malvern died Sunday Sept. 18, 2011 in Minerva Eldercare. She was born April 22, 1926 in Malvern to Byron and Grace (Beadle) Ferguson. She was a housewife and loved doing puzzles, bingo and playing cards with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Barnes, an infant daughter, 3 sisters; Goldie Cooley, Sarah Greathouse and Mary Ferguson, 6 brothers; Victor, Amos, Joseph, Wilber, Earl and Grover Ferguson. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including Debbie (Clarence) Fowler of Malvern, Carol (Cecil) Curfman of East Rochester, Cathy Cooley of East Rochester, Donald (Janet) Greathouse of Minerva, Wanda (Larry) Shaw of Kilgore, Bob (Pat) Greathouse of Paris, Tom (Debbie) Greathouse of Minerva and David Greathouse of Salem, many great nieces and nephews including Richard Fowler, Crystal Fowler, Rhiannon Mayo and Brandon Greathouse and a special great great niece Maddie Blind.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be Wednesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
