Virgil "Gil" Shuman II

Age 61, of Minerva, died Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born October 23, 1956 in Canton to the late Virgil and Luetta (Hardie) Shuman. He was a co-owner of Tal-Tal's Pilot Cars and had been a welder and truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Tina (Clapper) Shuman whom he married on May 22, 1999; a daughter, Samantha Walter of Minerva; 2 sons, Michael (Ashley) Baldwin of CA, Pace (Josie) Walter of Minerva; 2 sisters, Virginia Pingstock of Dover, Cherie (Charlie) Otis of Barto, FL; brother, John "Rusty" (Mary Ann) Shuman of Massillon, 5 nieces and nephews, 6 grandchildren, Adalynn, Lainey, Evelynn, Brielle, Talon and Felicity.

Funeral services will be Monday at 8:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Harvey Miller officiating. Calling hours will be Monday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
