Virgil Grubb
age 78, of Minerva, died Friday, June 18 th at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 11, 1942 in Alliance to Lewis and Opal (Martin) Grubb. He worked for US Fiberglass in Middlebranch for 40 years. He was past master of Plain Grange #2 for several years. He was inducted into the Minerva Lions Athletic Hall of Fame for filming Lions football, basketball and wrestling for 25 years. He was a member of the Stark County Fair for 45 years, working on the Swine Committee and the 4H Program.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nada (Clough) Grubb whom he married Aug. 8, 1964, 2 daughters, Jolaine (Frank) Lutes, Kimberly (Mike) Lucas, 2 sons, Jeff (Kim) Grubb, Christopher (Yvette) Grubb, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Polly. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Sue King, sister, Loretta Britain, 2 brothers, Eugene and Dale Grubb and a great granddaughter, Ruby Sue King.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in Liberty Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Swine Committee or the Aultman Alliance Hospice.
