Violet N. Scurto
Age 96, of Malvern, died Saturday, April 25, 2015. She was born Oct. 6, 1918 in Krebs, OK to Louis and Rose (Rossi) Petros. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern and the Catholic Women's Club. She was a foster grandparent at St. John's Villa for 20 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Scurto, son, Arthur Scurto Jr., 3 brothers; Frank, Dominic and Ralph Petros. She is survived by a daughter, Rose Scurto of Malvern, 2 sisters; Elizabeth Burwell of Malvern and Nancy Castellucci of Malvern, granddaughter and caregiver, Amanda (Nicholas) Stephens of Canton, 2 great grandchildren, Luca and Peyton Stephens and her caregiver for the last 6 years, Carol Strawder.
Following cremation, a Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 am in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
