Victor Overholt, age 88, of Minerva, died Wed., Aug. 1, 2012 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Hartville to Simon and Mary Magdalena (Stoll) Overholt. He was a farmer and brick mason and a member of the Minerva Christian Fellowship Church near East Rochester.
He is survived by his wife, Judith (Miller) (Sommers) Overholt whom he married July 13, 2001; 5 daughters, Ruth (Johnny) Miller of Minerva, Lena (Olen) Yoder of Minerva, JoAnn (Christopher) Inholsen of Montezuma, GA, Delilah (Lonnie) Beachy of Plain City, and Judy (David) Miller of Minerva; 4 sons, Fred (Bernadine) Overholt of East Rochester, Leon (Ida Mae) Overholt of Taylorsville, NC, David (Wilma) Overholt of Minerva, and Dwayne (Kathy) Overholt of Salisbury, PA; a sister, Fannie (Simon) Sommers of Hartville, 41 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Emma (Raber) Overholt who died in 1999; daughter, Vera Overholt; son, Michael Overholt and 7 brothers, Jerome, John, Frank, Fred, Abner, Ben and Francis Overholt.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 10:00 am in the Minerva Christian Fellowship Church near East Rochester with Joel Gingrich officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the church.
