Venone J. Borland, age 94, of Minerva, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in McCrea Manor. She was born Aug. 13, 1918 in Canton, Ohio to Glen and Bernice (Hawk) Hartline. She was a housewife, member of the Minerva First Presbyterian Church, Friendship Club and the Metal Detectors Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Borland who died Jan. 10, 2008; and a son, Lynn Borland.

She is survived by 3 sons, Gary (Mary Ann) Borland of Alliance, Dean (Marilyn) Borland of Key West, FL, Gayn (Lisa) Borland of Newport News, VA; 2 sisters, Ruth Cooper of FL, Gladys Bellamy of East Canton; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Ben George officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
