Velma M. Crawford, age 88, of Minerva, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015. She was born Nov. 22, 1926 in Oneida to John and Nan (Tinlin) Crawford. She is a graduate of Malvern High School and retired from PCC Airfoils in Minerva where she had worked for many years.

She is survived by a son, David (Cheryl) Crawford of Minerva; 3 granddaughters, Nichole Crawford, Kristina Rhiel and Sara Faust; 3 great grandchildren, Meleena Rhiel, Dylan and Savanna Faust; extended family, Marian (Dan) Locke of Hartville, Billie (Joe) Nimz of Minerva, Connie Brewer of East Rochester and Oscar (Carol) Carson, Jr. of Malvern; and 8 extended grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Esther and Dorothy; great granddaughter, Addisyn Benzel and an extended grandson.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Minerva Community Meals.
