Twila W. Schmidt

Age 96, of Paso Robles, CA, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in the Twin City Hospital in Templeton, CA.  She was born June 21, 1928 in Minerva, OH to Russell and Martha (Haines) Clapper.  She retired as a Claims Adjuster and had worked for H&H Insurance and Frank B. Hall Insurance in California.  She was a member of the Minerva First Christian Church in Minerva, OH, a graduate of Minerva High School in 1947 and a member of the Heritage Ranch Seniors.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Conky" Schmidt who died in 1980, son, Gary Schmidt, 2 brothers, Eldon "Ike" Clapper and Dwayne "Porky" Clapper.  She is survived by a son, Michael (Pamela) Schmidt of Paso Robles, CA, sister, Charlotte Reynolds of Magnolia and a granddaughter, Brianna Schmidt and 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 10th in Liberty Cemetery in Minerva with Rev. Peggy Garner officiating followed by a reception at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
