Twila J. Johnson

In loving memory of our dear wife and mother, Age 87, who went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the Alliance Community Hospital. She was born August 10, 1927 in Pekin, Ohio, to Olin and Sadie (Buxton) Slingluff. She worked as a mold inspector at TRW in Minerva for 21 years and then was a cook and a volunteer for the Minerva Senior Center for over 20 years. She is a lifetime member of the Minerva First Christian Church and a member of the U&I Sunday School Class. She graduated from Minerva High School and attended Kent State University.



She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Wilbur L. Johnson, whom she married March 21, 1947, 3 sons; Terry (Sharen) Johnson of Suffield, Thomas (Deborah) Johnson of Lancaster and David (Shelley) Johnson of Springfield, VA, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a great great grandson. She is preceded in death by a brother, Paul Slingluff and an infant brother, Gerald Slingluff.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 3, at 6:00 pm in the Minerva First Christian Church, 300 West Lincoln Way, with Rev. Dale Roberts officiating. Calling hours will be held 2 hours prior to services from 4-6 pm at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
