Thomas L. Vasilliu

Age 71, of Minerva, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024. He was born November 5, 1953 in Canton to the late Thomas and Lavonne (Harsh) Vasilliu. He retired from Republic Steel in 2016 where he was a crane operator for 43 years.  He loved spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and playing in several golf leagues and was a member of the NRA.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Adda (Mick) Vasilliu who died in 2022. He is survived by 2 sons, Thomas Vasilliu of Minerva, Anthony (Miranda) Vasilliu of Malvern, sister, Lilly Patterson of Minerva, brother, Jeff (Debbie) Vasilliu of Minerva, 6 grandchildren; Anthony Vasilliu Jr., Dakota Vasilliu, Clayton Oliver, Elizabeth Vasilliu, Rebecca Vasilliu and William Vasilliu, 4 great grandchildren; Olive and Opal Vasilliu, Grayson and Paisley Oliver.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from noon to 1 pm at the funeral home.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
