Thomas F. Smith

Age 72, of Tippecanoe passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 in the Trinity Twin City Hospital.  He was born Jan. 23, 1952 in Canton to Albert and Leathie (Keloustian) Smith Jr.  He retired from Roofer's Local #88 in Canton where he had worked for over 30 years and was also a local farmer for many years.  He was an avid bowler, having bowled several 300's in his career.  He is a member of the Eagles and loved spending time hunting, fishing and playing poker with his friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Christine (Dexter) Smith who died in 2021, a sister, Penny Smith and a brother, Harold Smith.  He is survived by 2 sons, Glen (Leslie) Smith, Ed (Carrie) Smith, 3 grandchildren, Dylan, Reagan and Gray, close friends, Keeley and Dewey Thomas and their children, Gavin, Brynley and Bryer, 2 brothers, Albert (Dawn) Smith, Bob (Cookie) Golden, cousin, Mary Lou, 3 nieces, Vera, Nikki, Ashlee, 3 nephews, Robert, Carl and Jason and best friends Bob and Arlene Lewis.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Aug. 3rd at 10:45 am in the chapel at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton.  Calling hours will be held from 9 to 10am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
