Thomas F. Slack

Age 68, of Minerva, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family.  He was born Jan. 27, 1954 in Canton to the late Carl and Susie (Wright) Slack. He worked for Harrison Paint in Canton for almost 50 years.  He graduated from Minerva High School in 1972.  He is a former firefighter and EMT for the Robertsville Volunteer Fire Department, a life member of the NRA, and taught hunter safety classes for several years.  He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife, Debra (Norris) Slack whom he married May 21, 1977, 2 daughters, Tracy Marie (Lindsay) Wagner of Minerva, Darcy Lynn (Michael) Ramos of Canton, son, Thomas (Shelley Kehl) Slack II of East Rochester, father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Millie Norris of Minerva, 10 grandchildren, Kevin (Miranda), Hunter, Logan, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Nikita, Max, Whalon, William, Bryer and a great granddaughter, Riley.  He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margaret Lesh, Sally Johnson and 2 brothers, Harvey and Lonnie Slack.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held_Friday at 11:00 am in Liberty Cemetery in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com .
