Tom J. Lutz, age 57, of Minerva, died Oct. 8, 2013. He was born Dec. 5, 1955 in Canton to Mark H. Lutz of Minerva and the late Grace "Betty" (Colopy) Lutz. He had been an equipment operator for National Lime and Stone and an employee of R.C. Miller Refuse. He was extremely patriotic and loved being the Masterblaster at the annual fireworks show. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandkids where he was known as "Pop".

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Darlene (Carson) Lutz whom he married Aug. 24, 1974; daughter, Kim (Scott) Cassidy of Uniontown; son, Jason (Ashley) Lutz of East Rochester; sister, Dallas (Michael) Hoebeke of Alliance; 2 brothers, Mark "Butch" and Ernest Lutz both of Columbus and 4 grandchildren, Jenna, Ryan, Aiden and Karson.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson officiating. Calling hours will be Sat. from 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
