Tanya L. Smith
Age 56 of Minerva died Friday Nov. 2, 2012 in Aultman's Compassionate Care Center. She was born Feb. 23, 1956 in Canton. She had been the office manager at Carroll County Health Care and is a member of the Family Christian Center in Canton. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1974.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas M. Smith Sr. whom she married Jan. 26, 2002, mother and stepfather, Linda (Preston) and Thomas Burns of Minerva, 4 children, Tracy (Steven) Russell of Salem, Ashley Scott of Massillon, Thomas M. (Rachelle) Smith II of Minerva and Andrew Scott of Louisville, sister, Tracy (Larry) Evans of Minerva, sister-in-law, Kathy (Jim) Nicholson of Lisbon, 3 grandchildren, Kaden and Cole Russell, Conner Smith, 3 nieces, Holly (Cody) Kincaid, Erin (Bill) Anthony and Charm Evans. She is preceded in death by her father, Davis Guess.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Fredrick Bays officiating. Calling hours will be held Tuesday 2-4 & 6-9 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.Memorial contributions may be made to OROC, Outrun Ovarian Cancer, PO Box 40332, Bay Village, OH 44140.
