Obituary
Steven J. Hafner, age 62, of Minerva, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015. He was born Aug. 20, 1952 in Canton to John and Dorothy (Kistner) Hafner. He retired as a dock worker from PCC Airfoils after 26 years of service, was a graduate of Minerva High School and received a BS degree in Business from Walsh College. He also attended the Minerva First Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, whom he married March 3, 1974; 2 sons, John Hafner of Louisville, Shawn (Elbie) Hafner of Minerva; 2 sisters, Christine Mason of New Philadelphia, Roseanna Throckmorton of Bolivar; a brother, David Hafner of Minerva; and 4 grandchildren.
He was a hard working father and husband, who truly loved his grandkids.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Calling hours will be from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register book at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
