Stella J. Dourm

Age 79, of Minerva, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born September 14, 1946 in Grampian, PA to William and Bertha Soliday. She is an active member of the Bayard Community Church for 40 years where she worked on the food committee, was a Sunday School Teacher for 25 years. She is a member of the East Rochester Garden Club and was a volunteer at the Minerva Elementary School for 14 years. She started her education at West Elementary School. Stella spent her years being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt while serving her community. Stella was a special, loving, giving woman we all loved to know.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Melvin “Shorty” Dourm, 5 brothers, Walter (Carol), Lonnie, Ed (Grace), Ricky (Gina), and Don (Sandy) Soliday, 2 sisters, Rhoda Arkenburgh and Arlene Blair. She is survived by 2 sons Melvin Dourm Jr. of Minerva and Michael Dourm of Minerva, granddaughter, Briawna (Dylan) Stoffer of Salem, 2 great grandchildren, River and Weslyn, a brother, William (Lori) Soliday of Minerva, a sister, Pam (Sam) Shasteen of Kensington and also leaves behind multiple generations of cousins, nieces, nephews and many many friends!

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bullock officiating. Calling hours will be Wednesday two hours prior to services from 10:00 am to 12 noon at the funeral home. Following cremation, she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Quaker Ridge Cemetery.
