Sherry A. Dexter

Age 70, of Minerva, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026. She was born March 1, 1956 in Canton to Elmer Grady and Betty Jean (Swegheimer) Osborne. She graduated from Stark State University with an Associate Degree in Computer Science and Forensics. She taught at Kids College at Stark State University and later worked for DLH Corporation and DLH Industries. She is a member of the Minerva VFW Aux. #4120 and the Malvern American Legion Aux. #375. Although it wasn’t a job to her, she made her job in life to take care of others, becoming an adoptive mother and grandmother to so many people that needed her strength and courage to help in their time of need. She opened her arms to anyone who needed it with no questions asked. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by a son, Mike (Fiance, Craig Hinkle) Dexter of SC, daughter-in-law, Jenny DeCost of Minerva, sister, Deborah (Ron) Bermudez of San Diego, CA, brother, Mike (Lynn) Osborne of Canton and 2 grandchildren, James White and Bryce DeCost. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Osborne and a brother, Jack Osborne.
