Sheldon Clark
Age 84 of Doylestown and formerly Minerva died Sat. April 28, 2012 in the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman. He was born May 8, 1927 in Minerva to Lawrence and Lila (Allmon) Clark. He retired from the Hoover Co. in North Canton where he was an engineer and had formerly worked for Monarch Products in Minerva. He is a member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church and formerly Minerva United Methodist Church where he had been Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, member of the Hoover Engineers Club and a graduate of Augusta High School.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen (Merrick) Clark whom he married June 21, 1959, daughter; Wilma (Tom) Benedict of Doylestown, 2 sons; Paul (Connie) Clark of Canton and Jeff Clark of Doylestown, brother, Richard Clark of East Canton and Jeannie Canary of Canton and 5 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister, Nina Summer, brother, Victor Clark and a grandson, Jason Clark.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Dale Warrick officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the church music program, 153 Church St., Doylestown, OH 44230.
