Shane R. Schandel

Age 66, of Carrollton, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024. He was born Dec. 7, 1957 in Canton to the late Kenneth Schandel and Gwendolyn (Burford) Stephens of Virginia.  He worked on several area farms including Evans Dairy Farm.  He loved playing chess, pool and was an avid artist and fisherman.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by 4 daughters, Shanelyn Schandel of New Franklin, Shiane (Matthew) Johnson of Norton, Christina Richards of NY, Nycol (Christopher) Mayle of Minerva; 1 son, Teejay (Breanna) Richards of Hartsville, SC; 2 sisters, Rebecca Schandel of MI, Coral (Rufas) Gustafson; 2 brothers, Jack (Lisa) Schandel of Carrollton, Doji Schandel of Carrollton; and 12 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Thaddeus Burford.
