Shane M. Hoover

Age 49, of East Canton, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center.  He was born March 19, 1975 in Canton.  He was a welder for Mac Trailers and Summitville Tile.  He graduated from Minerva High School and loved the outdoors.  He loved fishing, hunting riding his 4-wheeler and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Debra (Hoover) Leidner, son, Noah Hoover, extended children, Kyle and Katelynn Christensen, Jacob Brislen, Iseah Fornash, special friends, Frank and Candy Brewster, sister, Angela (Bob) Lacraz, 2 brothers, John (Allie) Leidner, Jason Leidner, 2 ½ sisters, Dawn (Ed) Simon, Jackie Stowe and maternal grandfather, Don "Pops" Butterworth.  He is preceded in death by his father, Terry "Toad" Stowe, paternal grandparents, Bob and Fran Stowe, uncle Barry Stowe, cousin, Storm Angione and maternal grandparents, Lola and Bill Hoover. The family would like to thank Dawn, Felicia and Jess for all of their wonderful care during Shane's illness.

Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva.  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Aug. 3rd at 1:00 pm in the Salute Hall in Minerva.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
