Scharlene K. Monte

Age 84, of Minerva, passed away, Thursday, June 22, 2023 in the Arbors of Minerva. She was born Nov. 29, 1938 in New Philadelphia to Rolland and Emma Jean (Mathias) Price. She was a housewife and worked for Walker's Corner and the Normandy Inn.  She graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1957 and is a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's Club.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Henry Monte whom she married Nov. 29, 1957, daughter, Debbie Green of Minerva, son, David (Sandee) Monte of Minerva, 6 grandchildren, Tiffany, Danny, Josh, Kristin, Brandy and Brook and 8 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Gary Price and a granddaughter, Kenzi.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson and Fr. Dale Tornes as celebrants.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from 10-11 am at the church.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
