Samuel Plott

Age 77, of Minerva, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022 in Aultman Hospital. He was born May 3, 1945 in East Rochester to Paul and K. Nadene (Brenner) Plott.  He retired from General Motors in Lordstown after 40 years of service.  He is a US Army Veteran of Vietnam.  He is a member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Altoona, PA and was an advisor for the Stillfork 4-H for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Christy (Hall) Plott whom he married April 19, 1980; 2 daughters, Shelley (David) Bowman of Minerva, Kelley (David) Nolan of Salem; son, Matthew (Laura) Plott of Altoona, PA; sister, Nerissa (Richard) Marino of Navarre; 3 brothers, David (Camella) Plott of Minerva, John (Monica) Plott of VA, Joseph (Imelda) Plott of Okinawa, Japan; 5 grandchildren, Patrick (Taylor) Finnegin, Ryan Bowman, Ashley Bowman, Sarah Bowman, Caleb Plott; 2 step-grandchildren, Travis and Nicole Nolan; numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Matt Plott officiating.  Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 pm and Saturday one hour prior to services from 10-11 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to your local dog shelter.
