Samuel D. Jackson
Age 74, of Alliance, died Friday, July 17, 2015 in his home. He was born Jan. 26, 1941 in Kenova, WV to Samuel M. and Dove (Dean) Jackson. He was the owner of the Youngstown Collection Bureau. He was a US Navy Veteran and member of the Alliance American Legion Post #166 and former member of the American Legion Post #357 in Minerva, and a former 10th District Commander. He is also the former President of the Canfield Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife, Larraine "Cookie" (Campian) Jackson whom he married June 26, 1960, daughter, Debra Clappsaddle of Alliance, son, Samuel "Bo" (Karen) Jackson of Beloit, 2 sisters-in-law, Cathy (Dick) Pilati of East Rochester and Joyce Campian of East Rochester, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 7:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with American Legion Chaplain officiating. Calling hours will be held 2 hours prior to services from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice Assoc.
