Samuel E. Durst Jr.

Age 59, of Alliance, died Sunday, April 15, 2018 in Manor Care in Canton. He was born Nov. 29, 1958 in Columbus to the late Samuel Durst and Ruby (Havens) (Durst) Buxton. He is a machine operator at Colfor in Malvern and was very active in Civil War Re-enactments.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Durst of Alliance, son, Samuel Durst III of Alliance, 3 sisters, Sandra Barbour of Minerva, Diane Carroll of Columbus, Linda Stevens of Raleigh, NC, step-brothers and a step-sister; Maynard Buxton Jr., Harold C. Buxton, Roger Buxton, Victor Buxton, Steve Buxton, Daniel Buxton, Tina (Buxton) Durst, Frank Buxton and Timothy Buxton and 3 grandchildren, Noah, Tatiana and Celine. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jeanne Clark and Debra Durst and 2 brothers, William Durst and Kevin Buxton.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
