Ruth Ann Palmer

Age 91, of Minerva, died Wed., June 14, 2023 in the Minerva Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born Nov. 16, 1931 in Homeworth to Lawrence and Ruth (Grimes) Byers.  She graduated from Minerva High School in 1949.  She worked at the Pentagon, was a bookkeeper at Palmer Drilling and was an insurance agent for the Paris and Washington Twp. Insurance Company.  She is a member of the Freeburg Church of the Brethren

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Palmer who died in 2013, son, Joel Palmer and 2 great grandchildren, Mya and Elijah.  She is survived by 3 sons, Michael Palmer of Lisbon, Kevin (Pam) Palmer of Alliance, Kelly (Martha) Palmer of Louisville, daughter-in-law, Joel's wife, Lisa Palmer of Alliance, sister, Barbara Palmer of Minerva, 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Chad Palmer officiating.  Burial will be in the Freeburg  Cemetery.
