Ruth Burchfield

Age 93, of Kensington, died Sunday, November 28, 2021.  She was born Aug. 5, 1928 in Canton to James and Clara (Wilson) Fisher. She is a retired care giver.  She is a member of the Hanoverton Christian Church and the Ladies Society of the Church.  She graduated from Minerva High School in 1948.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Burchfield who died in 1977, 4 sisters, Phyllis Shaw,  JoAnn Fisher, Marette Lemon, Jane Tilkey, 5 brothers, Jim, Charles, Eugene, John and Donald Fisher.   She is survived by 3 sons, Jim (Toni) Burchfield of Kensington, John (Candace) Burchfield of Statham, GA, David (Sophie) Burchfield of Salem, 2 sisters, Dorothy (Raymond) Zurbrugg of Beloit, Carol Richardson of Columbus, brother, Kenneth Fisher of Carrollton, 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be with Friday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Dave Napier officiating.  Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the New Alexander Christian Church Loyal Sisters Fund.
