Ruth Brogan

Age 94, of Minerva, died Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Aultman Compassionate Care. Known as "Mrs. Miffy," she was born November 15, 1924 in Louisville, to Joseph and Mary (Riggle) Hutto. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1942. She was the owner and operator with her husband of Miffy's Corner in New Franklin for over 30 years. She liked to sew, read and play golf.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Miffy" Brogan who died Jan. 25, 1985; son, William Brogan Jr.; sister, Georgia M. Stertzbach; brothers, Marvin Hutto, infant brother, Lester. She is survived by 3 daughters, Susan (John) Waseman of Minerva, Patti Egnot of Strasburg, Bonnie (Ross) Petree of Minerva; son, Timothy Brogan of Idaho; brother, Eugene Hutto of Sebring; 7 grandchildren, Scott (Beverly) Waseman, Kelley Cusick, Sandi (Mike) Thomas, Tim Egnot, Chase Petree, Tanner Petree and Brogan Petree; 6 great-grandchildren, Megan (Josh) Pauley, Jakob Cusick, Elaina Waseman, Kaiden Thomas, Nolan Thomas, Mason Thomas and a great-great grandson, Landon Pauley.

A Memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Dave Ramsey officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-8pm at the funeral home.
