Ruth E. Archer, age 95, of Minerva, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 in Oakhill Manor in Louisville. She was born Dec. 29, 1918 in Canton to the late William Earl and Florence (Archibald) Draher. She was a housewife, graduate of Minerva High School in 1936 and a member of the Minerva First Presbyterian Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wade Archer who died in 1998; son, Terry Archer; sister, Alice Brown; 2 brothers, James and Donald Draher. She is survived by a daughter, Linda VanMeter of Louisville; son, Gary (Alice) Archer of Minerva; 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Ben George officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
