Russell R. Brown
Age 75, of Carrollton, died Friday, July 3, 2015 in the Community Hospice House of New Philadelphia. He was born Aug. 12, 1939 in Uhrichsville to Alfred and Grace (Brown) Brown. He retired from LTV Steel where he was a rigger for 33 years. He was also a farmer, US Army Veteran and member of the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199.
He is survived by his wife, Taunie (McArtor) Brown; 4 children, Michele (Phil) Smith of Jefferson City, TN, Rebecca (James) Denman of Kensington, Russell "Charlie" Brown II and Tim Babcock of Minerva, James (Bonnie) Brown of Beloit; 2 stepsons, Tracy (Jodi) Davis of Oklahoma City, OK, Troy (Connie) Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC; 2 sisters, Pauline Huff of Carrollton, Carolyn Kandel of Minerva, 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and several cousins. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Charlotte Hobson, Pearl Dunbar and 2 brothers, Vernon and Bill Brown.
Funeral services with full military honors will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-8pm in the funeral home.
