Roy W. Waugh

Age 92, of Kensington, died February 10, 2020 at his home. He was born July 18, 1927 in Pedro, Ohio to John and Mary (Massie) Waugh. He was a Custodian for Minerva Local Schools at M.I. Day for 12 years. He was also a welder and laborer. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Donna (Benner) Waugh whom he married July 6, 1950; a daughter, Diane (Donald) Kaurich-Birr of Salem; 3 sons, Troy (Marie) Waugh of Minerva, Roger (Patti) Waugh of Navarre, Richard (Jennie) Waugh of Kensington; 4 sisters, Ferne Peterson of Wellsville, Wilma Lippincott of Dellroy, Evelyn Phillips of Minerva, Janice (Joseph) Phillips of Hurlock, MD; a sister-in-law, Gwen Waugh of Kensington; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Waugh Jr., Gerald Dean Waugh and one grandson, Todd.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. John Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church or Crossroads Hospice.
