Rosemary Thrower

Age 80, of Paris, passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024 in Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.  She was born April 20, 1944 in Canton to Anthony and Mary (Roshong) Thewes.  She was a housewife and member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva and formerly Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Louisville where she sang in the choir and was in the Alter  and Rosary Society.  She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1962.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thrower who died in 2014, son, Teddy Linder, son-in-law, Kevin Speakman, 6 brothers and sisters, Mary Altmann, Irene Starr, Ray Thewes, Anthony Thewes, Cathy Dunlap and Ann Thewes. She is survived by 3 daughters, Tina Speakman of Paris, Wendy (Richard) Short of Salem, Melissa (Rick) Spall of Minerva, 2 sons, Jay (Chris) Linder of Massillon, Robert (Andrea) Thrower of Massillon, 6 brothers and sisters, Peggy Dowling of Canton, Dorothy Shanower of Canton, Edie (Cal) Shanower of Canton, John (Lynn) Thewes of Alliance, Betsy (Eric) Hanson of Canton, Patricia (Ralph) Sells of Greentown, 2 sisters-in-law, Margie Thewes of Canton and Carol Thewes of Kent, brother-in-law, Gene Dunlap of Alliance, 9 grandchildren; Ashton (Larry) Teeter, Morgan (Trent) Wilhelm, Matthew (Joy) Speakman, Rachel (Cody) Blake, Jack, Drew and Reed Spall, Richard Short, Landon Thrower and 4 great grandchildren.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 am in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva where a wake service will be held at 7:45.
