Rosalie "Rose" Wood, age 79, of Minerva, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton following an extended illness. She was born Nov. 4, 1936 in Carmichaels, PA to Lawrence and Lenna (Osborne) Carr. She was a housewife, co-owner of Woodhaven Farms, member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau, the Republican Women's Club, the Republican Central Committee and the PTO in Augusta.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Joe" Wood who died June 13, 2014; 3 sisters, Lucy Morris, Opal See and Isabelle Mercer.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Wood of Minerva; 3 sons, Larry (Cindy) Wood of Carrollton, Ron (Lori) Wood of Carrollton, and Doug, (Kathryn) Wood of Johnstown, OH; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
