Ronald M. Nightingale

Age 79, of Minerva, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019. He was born May 20, 1939 in Irondale to Walter" Jim" and Helen (McNatch) Nightingale. He retired as the Vice-President of Minerva Banking after 25 years of service and then worked for R. C. Miller Refuse, Rhomick Motors and Loudon Motors in Minerva. He graduated from Irondale High School and is a US Marine Veteran. He is a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church, Augusta Lodge #504 F&AM, 32 degree Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, and a lifetime member of the Minerva VFW Post #4120 in Minerva.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kaye (Lindner) Nightingale whom he married July 1, 1961, 2 sons, Doug (Debbie) Nightingale of Minerva, Kurt (DeAnn) Nightingale of Newark, sister, Elaine Cox of Grand Rapids, MI, brother, David (Ann) Nightingale of Maumee, 6 grandchildren, Steven (Bekah) Nightingale, Jake (Courtney) Nightingale, Alyxandra (Kyle) Larson, Vyctoria Nightingale, Jonathan and Savanna Nightingale, 4 great grandchildren, Silas, Greenlea, Zephaniah and Aubrey. He is preceded in death by a sister, June Deets.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Minerva United Methodist Church with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating.
