Ronald L. Mick, age 85, of Uniontown, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014 in his home. He was born Aug. 10, 1929 in East Rochester to Ronald H. and Alta (Lippincott) Mick. He was a retired gasoline transport truck driver and a US Army Veteran. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1949 and is a member of the Steels Corner Christian Church where he had formerly sang in the choir and had been a Deacon. He loved stock car racing with his sons and grandsons.
He is survived by his wife, Mary B. (Thomas) Mick whom he married July 12, 1950; 3 sons, Ron (Dorothy) Mick Jr. of Medina, David (Kimberly) Mick of Ravenna and Randy (Kate) Mick of Smithville; brother, Kenny (Mary Ann) Mick of Malvern; 7 grandchildren, Chris (Kristen) Mick, Audrey (Chris) Cunert, Heather (Chad) Wilson, Amber (Jim) Durvin, Autumn (Jason) Huntington, Dan (Sara) Mick and Sean Mick; and 7 great grandchildren, Sadie, Keegan, Blaine, Nolan, Landon, Sophia and Jessica. He is preceded in death by a sister, Florence Mick.
Following cremation, a memorial service with full military honors will be held Sat. at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Kenny Thomas officiating.
